From Rock Bottom to Rising Strong: My Fitness Journey

Mama, I’ve Been There

I know what it’s like to feel lost in the chaos of motherhood, struggling with postpartum weight, and barely recognizing yourself.

Before I had my baby, I was a gym enthusiast. I loved working out and had even gone through a previous weight loss journey, feeling strong and proud of myself. Fitness was a big part of my life, and I felt in control of my body.

But after having my baby, everything changed.

Hitting My Lowest Point

I found myself staring at a number on the scale I had never seen before—275 pounds. I was exhausted. I was depressed. And I hated my body.

It was hard to even look in the mirror, let alone find the motivation to change. The person I used to be—the gym-goer, the confident woman—felt like a distant memory.

I kept telling myself I needed to do something, but I felt too weak, too tired, and too defeated. It was like the person I used to be, had disappeared, buried beneath the weight of motherhood, stress, and self-doubt.

I wanted to feel good again. I wanted to feel strong, but the thought of working out? It felt like an impossible dream.

The Moment Everything Changed

Then one day, something inside me snapped.

I looked in the mirror and said, “Enough.”

❌ Enough of feeling like I wasn’t worth the effort.

❌ Enough of hiding in oversized clothes and avoiding pictures with my baby.

❌ Enough of the guilt, the shame, the self-doubt

I knew I had to do this for myself—because I deserved to feel like me again.

Taking the First Steps

It wasn’t easy, but I took it day by day.

✔ I started small—taking short walks, doing quick workouts while my baby napped.
✔ I focused on progress, not perfection.
✔ I reminded myself why I was doing this.

Slowly, I felt a shift. It wasn’t just about the physical change—it was about reclaiming who I was.

The weight didn’t come off overnight, but the emotional weight? That’s what I started shedding first.
